Jenna founded Communication Station in 2017, after spending time gaining experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools as well as in private practice.
Jenna has over 10 years of experience in the outpatient private practice setting. The majority of her experience is in pediatric therapy with kids from 2-10 years of age. Articulation and language are common areas addressed with this group.
Her wide-ranging experience with children includes autism, ADHD, cleft palate, and Down syndrome. Jenna is also PROMPT-trained. PROMPT is a tactile-kinetic approach to learning speech sounds. Jenna's worked with adults in multiple settings as well, including care for individuals who have had a TBI, stroke, swallowing disorder, or voice disorder.
Jenna is a graduate of Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN, and Rockhurst University. You can contact Jenna by email at Jenna@CommunicationStationKC.com

Best moment as a clinician:
When a client is able to put into use something that was practiced in the previous session.
Funniest moment as a clinician:
A child asked me if a drawing in the speech room was done by another child, it was mine.
Why did you become a speech-language pathologist?
I knew I wanted to help people and speech-language pathology is a wide field that allows you to always be learning. I love that you get to go on the journey with the client. You get to try different strategies, figure out what works best for the client, and build rapport along the way.
