Jenna Beuerlein - Speech-Language Pathologist

Smiling woman in navy blue dress standing against a stone wall.

Jenna Beuerlein founded Communication Station in 2017, after gaining valuable experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in both schools and private practice.

With over 10 years of experience in the outpatient private practice setting, Jenna primarily specializes in pediatric therapy for children aged 2-10 years. Common areas addressed in her speech therapy sessions include articulation and language development.

Her extensive experience with children encompasses working with those with autism, ADHD, cleft palate, and Down syndrome. Jenna is also PROMPT-trained, utilizing a tactile-kinetic approach to learning speech sounds. Additionally, she has worked with adults in various settings, providing care for individuals with TBI, strokes, swallowing disorders, or voice disorders.

Jenna graduated from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN, and from Rockhurst University. You can reach Jenna by email at Jenna@CommunicationStationKC.com.

Favorite children’s book: Caps For Sale

Favorite play-based therapy activity: Bubbles!

Best moment as a clinician: When a client can apply something they practiced in the previous session.

Funniest moment as a clinician: A child asked me if a drawing in the speech room was done by another child—it was mine!

Why did you become a speech-language pathologist? I wanted to help people, and speech-language pathology offers a broad field that promotes continuous learning. I love going on the journey with each client, experimenting with different strategies to find what works best for them while building rapport along the way.
